Rider Partnership Agreement

Effective Date: 2026  |  Version: 1.0

This agreement governs your participation as a delivery partner (“Rider”) on the My-Dish Logistics platform. Read it in full before accepting. By accepting, you enter into a binding agreement with My-Dish Logistics.

1. Your Status — Independent Contractor, Not Employee

You are engaging with MyDish as an independent contractor. This agreement does not create, and must not be construed as creating, an employer-employee relationship between you and My-Dish Logistics.

This means:

  • MyDish does not guarantee you any income, minimum earnings, or number of orders
  • You are not entitled to employment benefits, pension contributions, health coverage, or any statutory employee protections under Nigerian labor law by virtue of this agreement
  • You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable laws governing independent workers
  • You may work with other platforms or clients — MyDish does not claim exclusivity over your time

What MyDish provides is access to its dispatch platform — through which you may accept and complete deliveries in accordance with these terms and the operational standards of the platform.

2. Identity Verification — Non-Negotiable Requirement

You may not accept a single order until your identity has been fully verified by MyDish. You must provide:

  • Valid government-issued identity document (NIN Card, International Passport, or Driver's Licence) with photo
  • Selfie holding the document (for liveness verification)
  • Proof of current residence
  • Vehicle documentation (where applicable)
  • Emergency contact name and phone number

Your identity on this platform is fully traceable. Anonymous participation is not permitted. MyDish retains identity records for the purpose of operational accountability and, where legally required, law enforcement cooperation.

Providing false, forged, or borrowed identity documents is grounds for immediate permanent deactivation and referral to law enforcement.

3. Tier System & Certification

MyDish operates a three-tier rider partnership structure:

Tier 1 — Independent Contractor (Base Access)

You begin here. You are eligible to accept orders from the open dispatch feed. You are subject to all platform conduct standards.

Tier 2 — Certified Platform Partner

Attainable through demonstrated performance, completion of MyDish certification requirements, and positive operational history. Tier 2 riders may receive preferential dispatch access in designated zones.

Tier 3 — Semi-Managed Operational Affiliate

The highest tier, reserved for riders operating under active MyDish oversight for institutional or dedicated-client engagements.

Tier advancement is at MyDish's sole determination, based on operational metrics, conduct record, and certification completion.

4. How the Dispatch System Works

Orders are broadcast to all verified, active riders on the platform simultaneously. The first rider to accept an order is engaged for that delivery. Once you accept:

  • The order is removed from all other riders' screens immediately
  • You are solely responsible for completing that delivery
  • You cannot transfer, pass, or reassign an accepted order without operator authorisation

Accepting an order and then failing to collect without notice is a conduct violation. Repeated no-shows after acceptance will result in suspension.

5. Your Responsibilities on Every Delivery

You agree to:

  • Arrive at the pickup location at or before the agreed time
  • Handle all items with care — food, packages, and fragile goods
  • Make reasonable contact with the customer upon arrival at the delivery location
  • Take a clear proof-of-delivery photograph at handoff, using the app
  • Report immediately to the platform if any delivery problem occurs (damage, inaccessible address, customer not available)
  • Maintain professional conduct toward all clients, customers, and MyDish staff at all times

6. Liability for Delivery Damage

Where evidence establishes that damage, loss, tampering, or mishandling of an order occurred while the order was in your custody, you bear primary liability for that damage.

MyDish may front a reimbursement to the customer to maintain service continuity. Where you are found liable through the dispute process, MyDish will recover that reimbursement from your earnings. Recovery is structured — it will not exceed 25% of each payout until the amount is cleared, for amounts above ₦5,000.

Monthly liability cap: ₦50,000

Claims against you as a rider cannot exceed this amount in a single calendar month through the platform's reimbursement system.

7. Enforcement & Account Sanctions

MyDish reserves the right to take the following actions against your account where conduct violations, damage liability, fraud, or safety incidents are established:

  • Formal written warning (logged to your account)
  • Temporary suspension (you cannot accept orders while suspended)
  • Earnings deduction (structured recovery for validated liabilities)
  • Permanent deactivation (for fraud, safety breaches, or repeated violations)
  • Blacklisting from future re-registration on the platform
  • Referral to law enforcement (for criminal conduct)

Your warning count is tracked. Enforcement decisions are documented with reference to the specific policy clause engaged. You will be notified of enforcement actions via WhatsApp.

Enforcement actions short of immediate suspension will be preceded by notice and an opportunity to respond. However, MyDish may suspend immediately where inaction creates a risk to any person's safety.

8. Disputes Involving You

If a customer or vendor files a dispute relating to a delivery you completed, you will be notified and asked to provide your account of events and any evidence. MyDish will review all evidence and issue a determination. You may appeal once. MyDish's final determination is binding within the platform.

9. Your Data

MyDish retains your identity documents, performance records, earnings data, and delivery history. You have access rights — you may view your own records through the app. You do not own the platform's aggregated data or routing intelligence derived from your deliveries. MyDish may use anonymised, aggregate operational data for platform improvement and strategic purposes.

10. Emergency Situations

If you are involved in a road accident, encounter a safety threat, or face any emergency during a delivery, contact MyDish immediately via the emergency contact in the app. MyDish maintains documented escalation protocols and will support you in engaging appropriate authorities.

11. Staying On-Platform (Non-Circumvention)

11.1 Customer and vendor contact details shared to fulfil a delivery may be used only for that delivery — never saved or reused to solicit direct work.

11.2 Soliciting or accepting deliveries off-platform from any customer or vendor you met through MyDish is a serious breach of this agreement.

11.3 Remedies escalate: (i) warning, (ii) suspension, (iii) deactivation or blacklisting — each logged against this clause.

11.4 What you lose off-platform: dispute protection; Protection-Fund cover; OTP + proof-of-delivery that protects you against false claims; experience-score and badge progression (off-platform jobs never count toward Certified or Elite); and future escrow-protected payouts.
