Customer Terms of Use

Effective Date: 2026  |  Version: 1.0

By using the My-Dish Logistics platform — whether through the website, the app, or any other interface — to track, receive, or enquire about deliveries, you (“the Customer”) agree to be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What My-Dish Provides

My-Dish Logistics (“MyDish,” “we,” “the Platform”) is a technology-enabled logistics coordination platform. We facilitate delivery services between client businesses (vendors, bakeries, restaurants, retailers) and their end customers through a managed network of independent delivery partners (riders).

MyDish is not the seller, preparer, or originator of any product you receive through a MyDish-coordinated delivery. We coordinate the movement of goods — we do not manufacture, prepare, or package them.

2. What Customers Are Responsible For

Accurate delivery information.

You are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address, including any landmark, building description, or access instructions necessary for a rider to locate you. Deliveries that fail because an incorrect address was provided are not the responsibility of MyDish or the rider.

Availability.

You are responsible for being reachable at your delivery location within a reasonable window of the expected delivery time. Where a rider cannot reach you after making reasonable contact attempts, the delivery may be marked as failed. MyDish bears no liability for losses arising from customer unavailability.

Receiving your order promptly.

For food deliveries especially, once a rider has arrived at your location, you should collect your order promptly. MyDish bears no liability for food quality deterioration caused by delays in collection after the rider's arrival.

Honest dispute reporting.

If you have a complaint about a delivery, you are expected to report it accurately and in good faith. Filing false, exaggerated, or deliberately misleading disputes constitutes a breach of these terms.

3. Delivery Claims & Reimbursement Limits

MyDish operates a capped reimbursement system for validated delivery failures or damage. By using the platform, you acknowledge and accept the following limits:

Per order, per incident₦15,000
Per customer account, per quarter₦30,000

Claims exceeding these limits require escalation and are subject to special review. Claims above the per-order cap will be reimbursed only up to the cap amount, regardless of the claimed value.

MyDish is not liable for:

  • Products that arrive in unsatisfactory condition due to vendor preparation or packaging failures (this is the vendor's liability — MyDish will mediate)
  • Losses from events beyond MyDish's control (civil unrest, natural disaster, severe weather)
  • Consequential losses — loss of business, reputational harm, or indirect financial losses of any kind
  • Losses where an incorrect delivery address was provided

4. Dispute Process

If you have a complaint about a delivery, you must file a dispute within 48 hours of delivery. Disputes filed after this window may be accepted at MyDish's discretion only in exceptional circumstances.

How to file: Through the platform, on the relevant order page.

What happens next:

  • MyDish will acknowledge your dispute and issue a reference number
  • We will request evidence from all relevant parties (you, the rider, the vendor)
  • We will issue a determination within 5 business days
  • You may appeal once, within 3 business days of the determination

MyDish's determination following any appeal is final within the platform. MyDish has sole authority to determine liability and approve reimbursements. External escalation is available only through Nigerian civil courts at your own cost.

5. Account Conduct & Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • File false or bad-faith disputes
  • Threaten, harass, or abuse any rider, vendor, or MyDish staff member
  • Use the platform for fraudulent purposes
  • Provide false information at any point of interaction with the platform

Enforcement:

MyDish reserves the right to issue warnings, restrict your account, or permanently ban accounts where the above conditions are violated.

Three or more bad-faith disputes in a 12-month period will trigger a formal fraud review and may result in account termination.

MyDish's enforcement decisions are final within the platform.

6. Your Data

What we collect:

Your name, phone number, delivery addresses, order history, and platform interaction data. We collect only what is necessary to operate the service.

What we do with it:

We use your data to coordinate your deliveries, resolve disputes, and improve our platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

What you own:

You have access rights to your own data — you may request to view your order history and personal data at any time. You do not own the platform's aggregated data, routing intelligence, or analytics derived from your activity.

Compliance:

My-Dish Logistics operates in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).

7. Staying On-Platform (Non-Circumvention)

7.1 Contact details (names, phone numbers, addresses) shared to complete a delivery are provided solely for that delivery. You may not store or reuse them for any other purpose.

7.2 Arranging or accepting deliveries off the MyDish platform — for any vendor or rider you first connected with through MyDish, including paying a rider or vendor directly to avoid MyDish — is a breach of this agreement.

7.3 Breaches are handled through MyDish's enforcement process: (i) warning, (ii) account suspension, (iii) deactivation or blacklisting — applied in that order, each logged against this clause.

7.4 What you lose off-platform: the dispute and reimbursement process; Protection-Fund cover for loss or damage; OTP + photo proof-of-delivery; and (when launched) escrow payment protection. MyDish takes no responsibility for any off-platform arrangement.
